Riad Bahja

The service by Hamza, the front desk attendant is wonderful. He is friendly and helpful going above and beyond to make you welcome. The breakfast was a good, lite breakfast with orange juice, tea, coffee and an assortment of breads. Our room had three beds in it so a bit tight and the bathroom lights did not work, even though they attempted to fix it. It was too late to ask for a new room so we did not bother. Building is very old and maintenance can be better. The location is ok, walk from parking lot to building is about a 13 min walk, so be ready to haul your bags. Going into the medina is tricky, but it takes some getting used to inside the medina. Look out for scammers trying to make easy money. Questions or asking for directions come at a cost, especially young people offering to help, when you did not ask or don't need it, then acting like you owe them for their advice. Medina gates close after 10pm or so, it's harder to get back to the riad after. Safest thing to do is call the hotel/riad attendant if you are stuck and they will come get you.

TOTAL SCAM!! Book a month in advance, 3 rooms, 6 pnas adults, pick us up from the airport and drop us there, we leave the bags because the rooms were not yet prepared. And the suitcases and all the other stuff in there, without any control. When we arrive at noon, we are told k ntras rooms have technical problems. Although we had 3 rooms, a couple did not come, and there were only 2 rooms, although we had to pay for all 3. Without any further explanation, "technical problems, technical problems" They put us in another, more expensive hotel, and we have to pay for 300€. AVOID BOOKING AT THIS HOTEL, REPEAT TOTAL SCAM

We had a nice stay in riad Bahja. The riad is located in the middle of the busy street, but as soon as you walk through the door it is very quiet there. Amazing. The riad is also very clean. The staff is very friendly and helped us well during our stay. Shoutout to Lahssan!
