Riad Palais Des Princesses

Location, location, location. Literally 5 minutes from the beautiful hustle and bustle of the main square and so close to some amazing rooftop bars and restaurants yet a haven of calm and tranquility as soon as you walk through the unassuming entrance. Traditional Riad style nicely appointed in traditional style where everything works as you would expect in an older property. This is NOT a new Hilton or Marriott hotel as some reviewers seem to expect yet is a perfect execution of a Riad based authentic boutique hotel. Key things for any hotel - comfortable beds, very quiet, good shower, decent coffee and loads of it, clean and great service from all the staff. Some narrow, steep stairs to some of the rooms so be wary if you have accessibility needs. Great continental and Moroccan style breakfast, on-site restaurant that we didn’t try and an on-site Hamman that we also didn’t try. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful for anything we needed and made for a lovely stay. Did I mention the location? Phenomenal! Tips:- definitely get the airport or taxi transfer to ease your first trip in, once you’ve done the journey once it’s so easy to get your bearings from the main square. The porter will meet your car. The location felt very, very safe as did the whole of the Medina - same as any other busy town or city so don’t over-think this when planning! Embrace the heat of summer, it’s very hot yet in the Souks and air conditioned rooms it’s very comfortable. As you can tell we had an amazing stay and I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Hotel inside the medina, but well located, being inside a small street, there is no noise, I did not feel in danger, being two women, yes the medina area streets are neglected but entering the hotel is another world, nice riad, good reception service, and spa and hammam service good price and good service. What should be improved, the bathroom is extremely small, place a larger trash can. There is only an empty minibar, there is no coffee maker, nor a water heater, nor coffee in the room. There is no water dispenser (with the necessary heat) they only leave you a bottle of water the first day, the rest you buy. It should have a water dispenser at reception. The air conditioning is fantastic. Take the airport pickup transfer service, it is good. Round trip

Worse is impossible! How can someone be fooled like this and I'm still in disbelief how an agency can recommend this terrible place! Everything bad. Claustrophobic, ugly, nothing good to point out really! Horrible food and the staff are rude at every level. Never think about visiting. Or rather, is it worth going just to see and understand how bad it is! There are no words for something so bad. Everything in Marrakech must be better than this!
