I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars for Dar El Kebira.
The positives: the staff are very nice and helpful, the breakfast was lavish and I greatly enjoyed the dinner I had here. The terrace offers great views and is a pleasant place to relax. If you are interested in the beach or the kasbah, the hotel is very convenient to both.
What was less nice was the room itself. While the room was beautiful on the surface, this isn't the same as being comfortable or practical for the guest. My room was very narrow, such that I ended up getting in and out of bed by climbing up from the bottom of the bed. The room was also quite humid and I saw more than a few ants. The bathtub looked cool, but the shower curtain was too long and the tub was too narrow. So water got on the floor even as I felt afraid of slipping on the curtain. It may be that my concerns would not be an issue in other rooms.
