Riad Alhambra

We stayed here for 3 nights on arrival to Morocco. We arrived late and the owner welcomed us with tea and asked if we wanted dinner (despite it being 10pm). We accepted and about an hour later we were served a lovely meal by the in house chefs/housekeepers. The following 3 nights were lovely and the outside pool area is beautiful. ‘Les Trois Palmiers Restaurant’ is about 5 minutes away on the coast and is brilliant, a nice break from Moroccan cuisine - there is a bar next door to the restaurant where you can watch the sunset before your meal and I’d highly recommend visiting here if you are In the area. There isn’t a great deal to do in Temara and around the hotel but if you are staying here then I’d recommend staying in Riad Alhambra.

I don't think I would come back and stay there. It is way too expensive for what it is. Too far from the center. Not much to do in the area. That would be forgivable if the owner didn't get on our nerves a few times, making a fuss and complaining about "people" when we were asking for extra towels or when we asked him to resolve the fact that we ran out of water while someone was in the shower (all the water must have been used for the hammam at the same time, which the owner tried to sell insistently to guests). If you are unfortunate enough to be a French-speaker and to be relaxing in the garden or in the main room when the owner is there, you might end up hearing his whole life story and how much he likes people, but not showing any form of interest in the guests' lives of course. A friend of ours who speaks Arabic overheard him speaking to his staff in not a particularly gentle way. The staff was very pleasant on the contrary. In a nutshell, the place would be better value if it was a little cheaper and if the owner had been more pleasant

After few days traveling arround morocco , we find perfect spot to stay. Riad Alhambra is awesome. Great staff, who are very friendly. They gives us a lot of tips what to see, they are preparing delicious breakfast with eggs, fruits, coffee... The owner Mr Abdellah is the best host i have ever meet. He show us some interesting places, which we couldn't never find :) Great experience and beautiful house with astonishing terrace. Tnx 4 everything! Keep on smiling ImaD -_-
