Riad Taroudant

Very nice Riad with pool in the middle to cool off, the kids loved it. We had a large communicating room with traditional furniture chosen with taste. The staff is very attentive and breakfast on the terrace good and hearty.

We arrived as a couple with reservation. No welcome tea.. the correct bedding but the bathroom.. the water from the air conditioner in the room flows in front of the toilet and accumulates in front of the shower.. flooded all the time 😵‍💫. Our passports weren't asked for and the only fill-in form put under a bunch of papers... weird that cash besides... how come nobody talks about it?

We arrived in the afternoon and our riad did not offer us supper (it would have done if we had notified in advance). So we found Riad Myriam to be catering online, but we couldn’t call and went straight across the Medina. On site the welcome was a bit categorical, as the policy of the house obliges the reservation, and we were 4 to want to eat. Our host , perhaps the owner, was adamant, take the complete menu offered as is, and first accept the agreed price of 20 euros per person. We enjoyed the decor and environment of this riad; the meal included vegetable soup, a well-arranged assortment of vegetables and various dishes appealing to the eye, very tasty but in quantities far too great for our evening appetite. This was followed by the chicken and lemon tagine for four too generous, and the highlight of the meal, a dessert made of a very nice milk pastilla much appreciated. Notwithstanding the approach to the reception (we appreciate that we were welcomed without reservation!) and the excellent meal , we regret the waste of the large amounts of food we cannot eat, and a little the price that stands out compared to other comparable restaurants.
