Dar El Kasbah

The room was ok The host is very nice and friendly But I had a very BAD experience there The room was full of cockroaches everywhere The bed had their poop all over it Very disgusting Couldn’t sleep I had to leave the room in the middle of the night Plus there the hotel doesn’t provide breakfast

I suspect it has changed hands from looking at previous reviews. I have given it an average rating as it’s okay as a basic place if you’re well informed beforehand which we weren’t. There is no breakfast served. You have to go down the road at cafe colon . Room 7 is basic, too small for 2 people. shower was rubbish and hose leaking all over the place . View outside of rubble on roofs. Nice artwork in the hallway. No idea what other rooms are like . No roof terrace. They have someone on front desk 24 hours. Near Kasbah and in the evening the street is alive with some nice places to eat and shop We had paid our travel company for a superior hotel which this clearly wasn’t. It is cheap and suitable as a place to stay if you are not looking to pay much. I would not have a problem staying here again for the low price that I should have been charged for it

We booked a family room for two nights only to arrive and find the room we booked was not available. They wanted to put us in 3 separate rooms with doors opening to the outside and easily accessible from the courtyard where anybody off the street can enter, which we did not want and is why we booked a family room inside the main part of the hotel. They did find us a much nicer family room at another much nicer hotel for the first night, but then we returned to this hotel for the second night for the room we booked and we still didn't get the correct room! The room we finally ended up in didn't have three beds and they had to wheel in a cot. The bathroom was tiny, probably retrofitted into a closet.
