Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort

We had a lovely stay at Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort in Old Bagan. The traditional Burmese architecture and beautiful riverside setting make it a special place, especially at sunset. We also really enjoyed the swimming pool and the restaurant terrace, where we had dinner every evening. The room was spacious, with good air conditioning and Wi-Fi, although the bathroom is quite dated and the towels could be replaced. The food was good, and the staff were very kind, even if not everyone spoke English. Please note that, due to the current situation in the country, foreign credit cards are not accepted. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay, and Old Bagan itself is simply breathtaking.

This is a wonderful resort in Bagan! The property is very large with beautiful flowers all around, and a nice swimming pool. The restaurant served pretty decent food, and wonderful breakfast. The rooms were also spacious with working AC and WiFi. No complains whatsoever! I hope to return again someday!

It's Old Bagan, so there are no restaurants or shops around. Taxis are essential if you are going to eat out. They also provide transportation to and from the airport, but my request for transportation to the airport was forgotten. It is a riverside hotel so the view is good. Breakfast was delicious. The room is comfortable and no problem.
