MANDALAY CITY

You cannot see the hotel from the main road. It is situated in an inside area. Very very quiet. It has a nice swimming pool, a lot ot mosquitos! The people are very friendly but not really efficient. We requested a second key, but had to wait 1.5 day. Breakfast is average. The rooms are basic. Drinks in the bar a bit expensive. Almost no hot water in the shower. Price quality is average.

Hotel was clean and fine for a one off stay in Mandalay. Rooms were small but perfectly suitable with nice modern bathrooms. There was a pool which we did not use as was too busy and breakfast was a limited choice but satisfactory. Hotel was not in a great location as had to get a tuk tuk to restaurant but this was not a problem. Reception staff were very helpful.

Room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with excellent service by friendly staff. Location is also excellent, within easy reach of the Mandalay Palace complex and Mandalay Hill generally to the north, and the majestic Irrawaddy river a kilometre or two to the west.
