Shwe Tha Zin

From the outside the Shwe Thazin Hotel looks modern but it’s a surprise to find an older charming semi refreshed hotel on the inside. The polished wood stairwell, rooms with beautiful crown molding highlight the interior. My room was clean and comfy. The bathroom same. The staff were friendly and helpful. English was not a problem. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with many choices both asian and western and cook to order eggs. The breakfast is served in the roof top dining room and bar that has a scenic view of Sittwe. WiFi worked well. CC’s are accepted. Short walk to the Sittwe museum and water front market. Many dining choices close by. I would recommend the Shwe Thazin Hotel in Sittwe.

I had quite a bad experience staying at this hotel for two days. There was a leak in the commode. You know why I am mentioning that :p The hot water wasn't functioning properly. My room was at the back. So, the WiFi connection was very shifty. The complimentary breakfast was also not pleasant. One more thing: like any other part in Myanmar, they tell you that they take payments by cards, but when you to pay, they say their machine isn't working.

Average hotel rooms but restaurant have good food and good room service. Best thing is that hotel staff knows english. I will recommend hotel to improve in service keep hot water kettle in room. Average rooms with good service. Recommended
