Van der Valk Hotel Eindhoven

Unclear descriptions on the map that the staff could not explain either Boeuff stroganoff in soup plate which forced se fries to float in French fries served without serving cutlery Standard no greetings at the dish. Backordered and a poorly pan with piece of chicory where the bitter core was still in, two undercooked carrots and flabby bimmi, a sadly unsavory affair and that for € 4.75. As a cook and as a waiter, I would be ashamed to present such a thing. No applesauce with cherry, very stupid one of Van der Valk's characteristics. On the dessert menu was a lady blanche without ice cream....Turned out not to be ice cream but vanilla ice cream. No hot dark chocolate sauce but a lukewarm milk chocolate sauce, another big miss. At checkout we mentioned the above and the staff was sorry to hear and that was it. They don't do anything with it, even stupid!!

Today we had a bite at Van Der Valk Eindhoven with the three of us. Friendly staff, I put that first. Been here a lot before. Was known to me as tasty food, for a reasonable price. Always nice to come. But I still felt the need to give a wake up call for Van der Valk Eindhoven. I had a veal schitzel. This one was really fat, almost out of salt and tough as nails. I don't think that was a calf. In addition, the schnitzel was very small, a normal schnitzel is really twice as big. And for a full price. My wife had boeuf stoganoff, a meat dish with some chewy pieces in it, a single mushroom and not really a stroganoff flavor. She literally almost choked on it. Furthermore, my daughter had a pasta truffle dish, small and ordinary. Altogether, with 2 consumptions pp still have to tick off more than 100 euros. Sorry Motel Eindhoven (as I knew it) but I have to, and could really do better.

good hotel with good air conditioning during hot days at the end of June. Wild swimmer at 5 pm - was not possible because there was (for years swimming lessons) until 6 pm - hotel guests could not go there. We were with a group for a course and lunch was in the arrangement. Unfortunately, at the end of lunch there was shortage of everything - it was really scraping. We hold many courses in a Van der Valk in NL (>80) but we have not yet experienced this. Really a disappointment and not recommended.
