🚨DO NOT STAY HERE🚨 I don’t even know where to begin. The pictures of the room on VRBO or spacious and featured a larger room, but when we open the door to our room, the bed was almost hitting the door and the bathroom was the smallest bathroom ever. You could wash your hands well on the toilet. Additionally the room was a complete mess, dirt everywhere the moment we walked in. Seemed really weird because all of the reviews on VRBO were really positive. I promptly checked TripAdvisor and was horrified with reports of dirty bedding and bedbugs and immediately checked under the bedding like other people had done and was disgusted. There was suspicious yellow stains as well as lots of hair and snot and other general nastiness on the mattress, protector and stains on the comforter. There is no AC and the windows wouldn’t open so be prepared to be boiled alive with a little help from a small fan on the table. For €150 a night this is insane quality, and and when a refund was requested, there was a no refund policy. Luckily Airbnb was able to refund us and put us in a different hotel elsewhere. The only thing this hotel has going for it is its good Location, but don’t be ace. It is not The only thing this hotel has going for it is its good Location, but don’t be deceived. It is not on the canals. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here!!

⚠️🚨BED BUGS 🚨⚠️ PUNAISES DE LIT⚠️🚨 AVOID THIS HOTEL ‼️ When I arrived, the room was in an unacceptable condition. The bed sheets were dirty, covered with hair and dandruff, and the floor was filthy with dirt and food debris. I even had to buy cleaning products myself. The worst part was discovering what appeared to be bed bugs around the bed area. I took photos and videos as evidence and immediately decided to leave. I did not spend a single night in the hotel. Despite the evidence provided, the hotel refused to take responsibility or issue a refund. Very disappointing experience and serious hygiene concerns. COMPLETELY DISHONEST PEOPLE, acting in extreme bad faith and refusing to take any responsibility whatsoever for this clear breach of hygiene laws and regulations.

Acostar Hotel in Amsterdam is a complete scam! We booked a room for the night of October 31 to November 1, 2025 (€154.91) and found the place in an absolutely disgusting and shameful condition: • Mold under the mattress, • Stains and hair on the sheets, • Feces marks on the walls, • Uncleaned toilet, • And a horrible smell all over the room. When we asked to change rooms, the receptionist rudely refused and even accused us of causing the damage, even though we had just arrived! It was impossible to stay even one minute longer, so we left immediately. No refund offered, no customer service, and the hotel is completely misleading compared to the photos online. Filthy, disrespectful, and unsafe place – a total disgrace for Amsterdam! Do NOT book this hotel it’s a total scam Check the photos they speak for themselves!
