I Stayer for Two nights here. The owner, Jan, is always available forum helping his guests. The bed and breakfast is in a lovely house ten minutes far from the metro station which leads you directly ti Amsterdam Centraal. Find a minute ti talk about books with Jan, he is definitely a strong Reader!

Me and my boyfriend stayed in this acommodation for 5 days. We were very satisfied, the owner is friendly and helpful. He asked whether this was our first visit in Amsterdam, when we confirmed it, he gave us a map and showed the most important points, told us basic facts about the public transport, recommended a good dining place close by. Quite B&B, the breakfast was good, room clean and everything worth seeing in the city within reach (you have to take a tram+metro, but thankfully the public transport in Amsterdam works well, so it doesnt take too long). Our room had its own restroom and the only weird thing was that there was glass door on it. The hallway restroom doesnt have this strange detail.

When we arrived at destination we were told that the houseat Geerdinkhof was upside down because Mr Jan was looking allover for some pictures. Apparently that story goes already for some time because other guests write also to have stayed near to Gansenhoef metro station where the owner has an other flat. The appartment is not bad, the room is clean. When booking I did not pay attention to the fact that the bathroom and the toilet has to be shared. Big surprise.My fault. I was in a hurry when I booked.The first 2 night we were alone in the flat. Although a neighborhood what you may expect problematic at arrival, it was relatively quiet apart from some fireworks on Saturday night. Close to the Metrostation with trains arriving nearly every 15 min and 20 min trip to Central station. No invoice, as it also happened with other locations where we stayed recently. We checked also some prices of hotels available during our stay and found out that we paid well.
