Bastion Amsterdam Centrum Zuidwest

It was terrible, the room was totally incomparable to the pictures. It was very dirty as if there had been no brushing. There were hardly any staff, we had to wait half an hour at the bar to order some drinks we therefore left without drinking of course. Would really never recommend this hotel!

I don't know why this hotel doesn't have a better rating here. It's a good hotel. The bathroom is really small, but functional. The shower is good. The room has good space, the TV is great, and the bed was very comfortable. It's not a new hotel, and the carpets in the hallways may be replaced during renovations. But the room has wooden floors and was clean. It's close to Lelylaan station – you can walk there if the weather permits. I think it's a good option if you need to stay relatively close to the airport and still plan to spend the day in Amsterdam. Staff is friendly.

Normally I always have a drink opposite the hotel, but this experience behind the bar was so much fun and enjoyable. It was no problem to follow the Olympic championship on the TV, which made the atmosphere even better. The friendly woman behind the bar made sure that my glass was always refilled, without me having to ask for it, something you experience differently at many hotel bars. With tasty nuts it was completely finished. For the hospitality I will definitely come back here.
