Canal House

The Canal House is a charming hotel that has seen better days, but still holds up. The location, the courtesy of the staff, and the services are excellent. Excellent room with a view of the canal. I recommend it.

Confirmed reservation not honored by Hotel

I wish we could have bicycled but walking got us plenty of targeted restaurants, chocolate shops, museums, the train station and sights. The staff were helpful and friendly, the garden was a delight, the breakfast dining room expansive, and our room had a great canal view. We stayed four nights and chose to come back to this hotel ten days later for our final day of the trip and it was even better.
