Good location and good air con. Generally clean and tidy, but a little tired and unkept in places (large chip in bathroom sink). I’d say the 4.6 score at the time of reviewing is generous.

Good location and did the job. But I would say basic. The pillows are awful, and not pillows - but dress cushions - so too big. The room space is cramped and the sink was cracked. The curtains on the window don’t close all the way so the sunlight wakes you up.

This pleasant hotel is a mere 5 mins walk from Vondelpark. Its location is within the city centre making tourist attractions accessible either on foot, via rented bikes, bus or to the nearest trams. Upon our arrival we were greeted by one of the male receptionists who from the outset welcomed us warmly. His friendliness, professionalism and efforts in accommodating both my partner and I went above and beyond ensuring our stay in Huygens Place and in Amsterdam in general would be enjoyable and relaxing. Nothing was too much trouble for this gentleman whose name I sadly cannot recall. The hotel was very clean. Everything included in the bedroom was immaculate throughout our stay. Two fresh water bottles were in the fridge which we appreciated for hydration purposes especially during the heat waves. Resting our heads on the super soft pillows felt so good especially after a long day of roaming the Dutch streets! We would definitely recommend this hotel for future guests. Best of luck
