Golden Tulip Amsterdam West

Stayed here 12th -16th July. I booked through Eurostar & chose a comfort room which was a bit more but got us free breakfast so prob worked out cheaper. We were floor 6. The room was MASSIVE, the bed was HUGE! Lovely & clean. 1 stop from Amsterdam central & about 10-15 mins walk from station. Breakfast was fine plenty of choice. I /we would definitely stay in another XO hotel & would definitely recommend this hotel!!

Had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. Room was clean and spacious. Handy to have a small fridge. Beds were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful with lots of choice - cooked items, pancakes, cereals, fruits, pastries, meats and cheeses. Had no issues at all eating here. Very hand for the no 19 tram which goes direct to the museum quarter. Need to change tram again to get right into the centre/central station area but easy enough. Would recommend the Italian restaurant across the road - La Casa Di Michael. Friendly service and fresh tasty Italian food - portions are generous.

Extremely disappointed with my expierience here . Within 20 minutes of checking into the room, I had to leave due to the condition it was in. The bed was visibly dirty with what appeared to be pubic hair on the bedding,Stained carpet and windows which was completely unacceptable and unhygienic. On top of that, there was excessive noise outside the room which made the stay even more uncomfortable. I raised the issue immediately at reception and was only offered a room change, but after seeing the condition of the room I no longer felt comfortable staying there and had to pay for another hotel last minute at my own expense. What made the experience even worse was the response I received afterwards. Instead of properly addressing the issue, they suggested I chose to change my travel plans!? — when all I was looking for was a refund for a room I couldn’t even stay in. Really disappointing customer service and definitely not the standard I expected.
