King Hotel

Stayed here Over a year ago, but the experience has left a bad taste in my mouth... Was booked for the King Hotel for several months with only a booking confirmation... I wasn't told of any issues with the hotel by the company i booked with, or the management... Upon arriving after a very long day, i was met by a sign on the door asking me to check in at the nearby Quentin Hotel, which i did... I thought the desk clerk was slightly condescending, but shook that off blaming my state of extreme exhaustion from my trip, took my keys and went back to the King Hotel... Upon opening the main door, i was met by a cloud of dust and several piles of wood blocking my way... There was no-one in the foyer area, but there was an extreme amount of noise coming from one of the rooms... It seems the hotel was in the midst of a total renovation, which wasn't mentioned by either the booking site, or the management... This all encompassing building work seemed to involve everywhere BUT my room, which was in the epicenter... For three days i had hammering, drilling, shouting, dust and lethal detritus clogging the halls and entrance from 8am til 7pm.... I couldn't sleep in, or relax other than late at night... Even an afternoon shower was disturbed by a consistent banging on the opposite wall to my bathroom. All in all, the worst hotel experience i have ever had, and i can only now relive the event without massive psychological trauma... ...I really hope the place has improved since, but i will not be returning to test it.

Located in a great spot and if you get a room with the canal view you will also have a great view from your windows. Accurate for couples and friends, the rooms and the hospitality were answering The needs. Recommended...

We visited this hotel in June 2013, for 3 nights. What we have found is really bad. The owner is Indian and full of bad attitude. we were given a worst room and there were no room service available. What I saw was rooms r really very small with no views at all. you might get better hotels in this budget. Its not at all preferred. Only the location is little bit ok.
