I stayed in a Junior King Suite with my husband and teen daughter for three nights in July and we were completely satisfied with our stay. What we liked: The bedroom: clean and modern-looking, large enough for us, great air conditioning. The bed was comfortable and our daughter was happy with her sofa bed. There was a closet for hanging clothes and a safe. The bathroom: Again, clean and modern, two sinks, hooks for towels and robes, heated floor, solid bath/shower. The bathroom was enclosed (with a door) and private—this is a priority for our family so I checked on this by calling and asking ahead of time and was informed that all junior suites at the hotel have private and enclosed bathrooms. Location: You can’t beat it for the value. Minutes (walking) from the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. Plenty of canal cruises depart from a short walk away—we went on a 9PM Captain Jack canal cruise that left from right across from the Rijksmuseum and loved it. The De Pijp area is fantastic for shopping and restaurants and is about a 10 or 15 minute walk away. In fact, we walked everywhere from the hotel—never took public transportation (except for from the train station to the hotel) and enjoyed the city by foot. Staff: The staff at reception are welcoming and helpful. Housekeeping was great. No complaints at all. Our room was not ready when we arrived so we had a short wait, but we were offered a choice of prosecco, beer, or soft drinks and were happy to sit and wait for a bit in the comfortable lobby bar area. Reception also offered to hold our luggage so that we could go out but we were happy to relax and wait a bit after our train journey. We didn’t have breakfast or dinner at the hotel, so can’t speak to that. But all in all, we were more than satisfied with the Park Centraal as a base for our Amsterdam adventures and would return again!

I had chosen this hotel in advance due to the possibility of parking. It is not easy to find parking in Amsterdam. I'm writing to the hotel and I don't get any answers. Upon arrival I will be asked to download an app. As everything is set up it turns out that there are no more parking spaces. Just a pity! But you can park on the street or find a P house nearby. I should definitely have booked the Marriott instead. They also have the possibility of parking. Just passed by. They'll find a place anyway. I am disappointed with my choice of hotel!

Hotel rooms were clean but small. Shower and toilet were tiny probably the norm for central Amsterdam. It was difficult to use the shower without water running all over the floor outside the shower and flooding the toilet. Location was good. Nice public areas
