Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel

Renaissance Amsterdam is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. It just happened we arrived during a worldwide Marriott computer glitch -Causing a few issues. the front desk people were great. They were handling it all so well. Susan helped us over to the executive lounge, which had wonderful air-conditioning and was soon able to get us our room and key. That glitch caused a couple of issues; however, the front desk manager, Leo Choi, was able to take care of the issue so wonderfully. I really appreciate the time he took to take care of me. Beautiful buffet breakfast down in the restaurant with wonderful coffee, cappuccinos, and made-to-order eggs. They even had Stevia. Highly recommend this hotel for your Amsterdam

I arrived in the morning, and fortunately a room was available, allowing me to check in early, which I really appreciated. My room was apparently in the newer building and it was little tricky finding it..from the lobby I had to take the lift to the 3rd floor, walk through several hallways to get to another lift that will take me to the 3rd floor of the new building where my room was. The room was very clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, making our stay especially comfortable during the heat wave affecting much of Europe. I also appreciated that the hotel provided glass water bottles that could be refilled at the Brita water stations located throughout the hotel. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, from the reception staff to housekeeping. The location is excellent, with restaurants and the train station conveniently nearby. Amsterdam central station was about a 5 minute walk, Fable friet, a popular place for Dutch fries is just behind the hotel. I had a very pleasant stay and I would definitely stay here again.
