COURTYARD AMSTERDAM AIRPORT

You pay 20 euros for a parking space here but your car is safe here. The hotel is convenient to go to the airport but also as a tourist this is a good choice: for a city trip or a day at the beach (we came from Noordwijk) you are really good here. The rooms are spacious and clean and have a fridge (there is also a mini supermarket in the hotel) and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast offers plenty of choice and is served in a pleasant room with lots of light.

Rooms quiet and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. The shuttle bus every hour is frustrating - an increased frequency of every 30mins is needed. Main area for improvement is breakfast - guests bumping into each other, guests bumping into staff, staff bumping into guests. The food serving stations are chaotic, with doorways into the kitchen next to where people are inevitably queuing. This needs a redesign - it’s almost as if providing a breakfast facility was an afterthought, it cannot cope with the volume. This zoo-like atmosphere put me off using the restaurant for lunch / dinner so cannot comment further. The hotel lends out bikes although these are quite neglected and of the 3 bikes I used, two had a loud clonking sound and one had a flat tyre before I set off. The park behind the hotel is lovely and peaceful, great facilities for families and an excellent boathouse restaurant / cafe on the lake itself.

Tonight again well helped by Mouro at the reception. Friendly and solution focused. This is what you expect from a classy hotel like this. Thanxs
