ART Hotel Rotterdam

Well-located hotel near the subway, spacious rooms, A/C, no coffee maker like there was 3 years ago!? A kettle instead with some Nescafé. Reception staff not very friendly (the one who welcomed us), the parking lot is tiny like on boats, pay attention to the max vehicle height 1.63m, breakfast. $20/person, expensive restaurant, I don't find many reasons to recommend it to you! Could do better for the price of the rooms!! Yet I recommended it three years ago!

The €50 deposit for the parking lot key has not been refunded to us to this day. In response to our inquiry, we only received an inappropriate standard reply that had nothing to do with our concern. Very poor customer service. And there were stinking baby diapers in the room

I stayed at this hotel for a conference at the nearby Theater Zuidplein, and I can say that I had a very good experience, although there were some aspects that did not fully satisfy me. Certainly, the hotel is very nice and welcoming, and it is evident that it has been recently renovated. The rooms and bathrooms are modern and comfortable, and the cleanliness is good. It's a pity that the minibar in the room is completely empty (what's the point?) and that the air conditioning turns on by itself (randomly) even when it is turned off; otherwise, I have no complaints. Breakfast is not included, and honestly, €20 seemed excessive to me, so I did not take advantage of it. There is private parking available for €25 per night, and the price is reasonable considering how much public parking costs outside the hotel. The location is extraordinary, as it is just outside the Maashaven stop (line D/E of the efficient metro that connects to the central station). Kudos to the hotel bar for the selection of beers and spirits; it is truly a great selection. An Italian restaurant is available in the hotel, but I did not try it. I would definitely return!!
