VAN DER VALK ROTTERDAM-BLIJDOR

We had booked 2 rooms for 1300 euros from Friday 10-07 to Monday 13-07-2026 due to North Sea Jazz festival. Cleaning was not included. But the bed had no fitted sheet but a regular sheet so you slept continuously on the musty mattress. When asking if this could be arranged, 25 euros per room had to be paid first before cleaning was notified to make the beds better

Bad experience with shuttle service; on our way there we had adjusted the time day before departure, unfortunately that was not adjusted by reception, the "old" time was still in the system. Waiting in the cold for half an hour on the way back; 2 people had been picked up by the van, but not the right one. Our flight number, but no name on their list, driver 2 unlisted people taken. After 3 calls the van finally came. When picking up exit ticket little understanding at ladies reception. Kindness can be much better, shame takes so little effort.

Solid hotel, nice staff. My room was a bit dated but still comfortable and well-maintained.
