Hotel Johannes Vermeer

Don't book this hotel when you have a late arrival, since the reception closes at 19:00 (contrary to the statement at the hotel website there is no 24/7 reception at Hotel Johannes Vermeer). In order to check-in after 19:00 you must walk to another hotel and back, which sets you off some 30 minutes (and hopefully the electronic key card does work as it should...). With a price of >230 Eur/night, which includes a very basic breakfast, the price/quality of the hotel is rather poor. The reception desk gives an amateurish and DIY look. The rooms were not cleaned well, and in the bathroom all fixtures were either loose or broken. The mould in the shower cabinet did not add to the experience either. A fair price would be around 100-120 Eur/night.

March 2025 We arrived around 23:00 and went to get the keys to the grand museum hotel, where we were calling non-stop 45 minutes and nobody came until after this time, besides it rained, we drank to the bone. When they finally opened, it was clear that the person in charge had been sleeping and could not hear us sting. A mess. The room was not cleaned in the three days we stayed, and the reception was not especially attentive. The unbeatable location, of course.

Poor intention. Outside windowsills so rotten that your window dare not open. Very noisy and not clean. It's too bad.
