Quay West Suites

Great apartment hotel in Auckland CBD. Central location. The harbour promenade is only a few hundred metres away, shops, restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Bus lines run around the house. The airport is 20 km away. You cannot stop or park at the hotel. Nevertheless, you must first check in to get access and description of the access to the car park with hotel parking (40 NZD/night) and direct hotel access. That was a little stressful. Large, sophisticated lobby with reception, which should be manned 24 hours (but not always was). On the upper floors there is an indoor pool with jacuzzi, sauna and gym. WiFi is free and worked great. We had a huge apartment for four people in the 14th. Floor with wraparound furnished balcony and view through high-rise canyons to the harbour. Modernly furnished living room with leather sofa, coffee table and flat-screen TV. View into the open kitchen as well as a dining area with a large dining table. Two somewhat stale furnished bedrooms, also with flat screen TV, two bathrooms, one with shower and tub, the other only with stepless shower. Toilet unfortunately not separate. Fully equipped kitchenette and separate room with washer and dryer and a linen closet. Air conditioning and safe were also available. The cleanliness was not objectionable. The reception was friendly (English only), houskeeping was efficient and unobtrusive. A cot remaining in the room was removed at our request with some latency. Overall a comfortable accommodation where you can feel comfortable and at home, centrally located and with reasonable value for money.

Great location, literally metres from harbour, restaurants everywhere, right in the heart of it, HUGE apartment, great balcony, lost a star as it is dated and needs a refurbishment and the rooms are desperately in need of an update, but that is more than made up for in the fact of the location and amenities around it, getting in quite an issue though, arrived today with loads of bags, and staff watched as I had to fumble around to open the door with fob/key, understand security but this was 3.30pm and 2 staff just stood and stared. Up cafe looked great but didnt try it and not open on weekends or after 3 but loads of food options locally, really great place

The hotel itself is very strategically located at AUCKLAND CBD. Very convenient to go anywhere, few steps to Queen Street and harbor. Room is pretty big, clean and comfort although a bit tired. However, I'm quite happy to stay here and willing to come back again
