We spent a wonderful weekend at the JW Marriott Auckland and it was five stars in every sense. The service was the standout. From the valet to the front desk, housekeeping to the dining team, every single person we encountered was professional, courteous, and genuinely friendly. It’s the small touches that made the difference — the little things they do didn’t go unnoticed, and they were very well received. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, exactly what you’d hope for. All up, a thorough and relaxing stay. We’ll definitely be back, and we recommend it without hesitation.

We were there in mid- July on a family vacation. From check in staff to check out staff, the customer service was top notch. We arrived during breakfast time and although our rooms were not ready yet due to our early arrival time, staff worked with our needs and put us in the Governor's suite (I think.) To be honest, it was more than we needed but well worth the cost due to the space, the luxury and the service. Location of the hotel is excellent, we were about 4-5 blocks from the waterfront, near to 2 smaller grocery stores and between 3 larger grocery stores, plus only about 3 blocks from shopping. We could see the space tower from one bedroom. From day one, staff at breakfast in Trivet, knew our seating requests and what drinks we preferred, even brought my husband the newspaper most mornings and the executive lounge staff was eager to please. Kept our room tidy, clean and neat. Concierge was excellent as well as the valet. The hotel was lively but room hallways were quiet. Pool area was never too busy and it was a serene visit. Seems like the gym was well planned. The only thing I could see changed might be to include some basic meals on the dinner menu, speaking as an American visitor, I missed having a simple meal, like roasted chicken, rice and broccoli or a simple grilled cheese, salad and soup. The meals were wonderful and tasty but we were there almost 2 weeks so I wished for something basic. Let me just reiterate that staff at this Marriott was excellent and if I was going to visit again, I would so stay here and recommend it to all.

Honestly one of the best hotel in central Auckland. The atmosphere here is always calm, relax and inviting. The services were great. Had brunch at Forum and we really felt welcomed here. The services provided by Mon and Adi was amazing. Kudos to them both for making us feel at home with JW Marriot.
