Canterbury Court Motel

This is the worst motel we have ever stayed in. The photos on the website etc are completely misleading. This place is an absolute dump. Unsafe, dirty, and definitely not 3 star. The motel door had been previously kicked in, the security lock fell off in my hand, lightbulbs were missing, window latches missing, wall heater had a huge crack through it, smoke alarm had no battery, no light in the toilet, filthy carpet, smashed power socket in the wall, felt completely unsafe. This place should not be open for business. Avoid at all costs.

Very Old Motel, First room we were offered was not fit to Live in, 2nd room ( The type we actually booked ) was better but still very poor , We elected to leave after 1 night of 3 night booking.. The onsite staff were helpful , but the reception was closed when we arrived , Mid afternoon, and the Contact number went straight to voice mail, After Texting i was contacted , But still , not satisfactory service.

Needs investment. Great sized unit. Great location. Not the layout on the photos, but made it work. Would have been good if all windows had curtains. Nobody on reception at 6pm, when you called number, was as if you'd called the wrong number. Chair stuffed. Had to wash kitchen equipment before use. Some equipment should have been in the rubbish a while back. Oven was filthy. I clean houses, and my holiday was arriving to a semi clean place for 230 for 4 people. The equipment in flat was for 3 people. Sheets and towels were clean. Bathroom pretty good. New equipment sent when requested. Hope the place gets some updates soon, even if just 2nd hand replacements. Broken stuff needs to go. Water was hot, soap provided, parking good.
