My husband and I stayed for several nights as we toured New Zealand. The home was lovely and impeccable. The service was stellar and so was the amazing breakfast. The view from the room was beautiful to wake up to. The BNB is in a quiet area minutes from the downtown shopping and restaurants. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommned.

My husband and I just spent a week at McHardy Lodge and can attest that it’s a lovely, tranquil place to stay for your visit to Napier. The Lodge itself is a beautifully restored historic building with a fascinating history, which Yvonne, your host, will happily share with you if you’re interested. The furnishings throughout the Lodge are both luxurious and comfortable and create a serene environment in bedrooms and the public areas. The location is convenient to Napier’s many attractions but the neighborhood in which the Lodge is situated is quiet and free of traffic noise. The view from the veranda and dining room is lovely. Yvonne was the perfect host-she provided a delicious and generous breakfast and her advice on local activities and attractions was spot on. Whatever the length of your stay, you’ll enjoy McHardy Lodge.

Such a beautiful historic hospital, home, hotel, in excellent condition! Yvonne was a lovely host and so welcoming. The view from the porch was spectacular. McHardy Lodge is situated atop a hill and provides a quiet, peaceful retreat. The homemade breakfast (asked Yvonne for the omelette) was exceptional. I would highly recommend and would most definitely stay again.
