Apartments On The Waterfront

We did a two week South Island roadie and our accommodation was a mix of motel/hotel, Airbnb and booking.com. I think we booked Picton Waterfront Apartments through booking.com. In any event, it was our second best stay during our trip, second only to a Dunedin apartment which did cost quite a bit more so can’t really be compared. We had to check out of our Blenheim apartment by 10 so we were in Picton quite quickly. I texted to see if we could get in earlier than the 3 pm checkin and sure enough, they could get our apartment ready by 12.30, which made our whole stay so much better as we had a Ute full of luggage and e-scooters. The apartment was amazing. Check in was easy and we had a secure park out the back which meant we could leave our scooters on the back of our car. The views were really special - we got to watch the bustle of Picton from our balcony. Fantastic set up with full fridge/freezer (with ice made already, thanks), washing machine and dryer, and a dishwasher and full kitchen if you didn’t want to eat out. Bathroom was really spacious and good storage. We totally loved this space and loved the township of Picton. We ate great food, we took some (very windy) coastal walks, we drank some very fine cocktails and we shopped in the lovely bespoke shops with super friendly service like there was no tomorrow. Our only regret is that we didn’t realise that Picton is our kind of town and we should have had a couple of nights there rather than spending a bland night in Blenheim. Would definitely stay here again.

From the easy booking process to the check in to the amazing view the cleanliness, the layout, facilities, comfort, décor and location everything was fantastic. Will be booking again when we need a get away

Breath taking views, spectacular apartment. Glamour, style, opulence with grace. Picture this sitting either in the front room or bedroom, massive windows over looking straight out onto the harbour. Boats gently swaying from side to side, hills rolling in the background as the mist gently kisses their peaks, and the sun rising up from the East presenting a breathtaking, breaking dawn. This is truly a master piece, painted by nature. It’s so beautiful so peacefully eloquent just like a jazz, blues song. You actually get lost in the stunning tranquility of it all. highly Recommend X 10.
