We stayed here for two nights, after taking the ferry over from Wellington. Chris was very welcoming and told us about all the facilities etc when we arrived. There are coffee and tea making facilities in a living room near the bedrooms with biscuits and a small fridge. Guests are allowed to use this room and the room downstairs, where breakfast is also served. Breakfast consists of cereals, yoghurt, toast/fruit toast, tea/coffee and juice. The best bit for me was the beautiful view from our window of the sea, I could have sat looking at that for hours! There is room to park your car on the drive. The room was extremely clean, the en-suite was a decent size, as was the room, which had two comfortable armchairs. There was no tv in the room but there is one in the living room downstairs. We hardly ever watch tv, so it wasn’t a problem.

Hosts are really nice and helpful. We got a homemade cake which was delicious. Beds are comfortable and the first place with a soft pillow. Breakfast was great. There is a drying room what is handy with all this rain.

This B & B was recommended to us and we weren't impressed. On arrival we were lectured about not wearing our shoes inside - apparently another guest had done so earlier and had muddy shoes!! Shock horror, what did that have to do with us? The room was clean and tidy but no sound proof - you couldn't help but hear 'muddy shoes' use the bathroom and when he turned on the taps the 'water hammer' was wicked. Despite the great location and views we won't be back
