Abel Tasman Marahau Lodge

Stunning location. Beautiful clean rooms. Kind and sweet Tina made our visit perfect.

We stayed for 3 nights from the 4th of April in a one-bedroom chalet. We were allocated number 12. Each chalet has an allocated parking space. There was a fridge and microwave in the room, but no safe. We found it slightly on the small side, but only because we had 4 suitcases with us. The lodge was comfortable and you could walk to the water taxi place in 2 minutes. We ate a Fat Tui one night (was the largest burgers we have ever seen – so large was hard to pick up) and at Hooked for 2 nights, would recommend both. Just a note for anyone walking the Barkers Bay back to Anchorage, we took the 1030 water taxi with the return at 4pm. We only just made it, and we had to rush the walk, so take the earlier boat at 9am if you want time to enjoy the walk. This was a good location to stay and would recommend it.

This is a hidden gem set on the edge of the National Park. Rooms are lovely. The grounds are pristine. Lots of wildlife around. Night sky is fantastic
