Acacia Lodge Motel

The location was good with easy access to walks and hiking paths. The self-catering apartment was very clean with good hot water, bedding and towels. The rooms are tired though and rather 1970s. However I had a comfortable sleep. The swimming pool was good. The place itself is picturesque and the owners are very friendly. Plenty of potential. Lovely morning views over the bay.

Stayed for 5 nights as a extended family of 11. We booked two ground floor family units and a top floor unit. Cute little lodge with a beautiful pool which was heated so the kids spent hours in it. Situated across the road from the water, I didn't realise from the photos that we would be able to launch the kayak and swim just across the road when the tide was right. So this was a nice suprise. The bay is full of small stingrays which we enjoyed watching each day. The lodge is perfectly located to walk to town for coffee and a dinners. A small 4 square in town is handy with a slightly bigger four square at cooper's beach. The kitchen in the unit is sufficient to cook a proper meal and the cookware supplied was helpful. We loved our stay and will be back again.

The evening manager was very helpful with local walks etc. The owner could be friendlier. It was a good place to walk, drive and explore the local area. The pool was clean and fresh. The units at the top which have kitchenettes are nice and quiet
