Absolutely first class accommodation and really delicious breakfasts. Hosts and staff were all very friendly. Lovely spacious room with fantastic view from our balcony across to Queenstown and onto the lake. There is a fairly steep short walk back from town but the effort is well worth it! Of the many lovely places we stayed in during our NZ visit, this was one of the best and we unreservedly recommend it!

Queenstown House was one of the best of our stay. It's the best hotel price, but it's a great recommendation for accommodation, views, and restaurants nearby. 1) Hostel Location: Located on top of a hill, the view over the lake is very good. There may be some views depending on the room, but the views from the common areas or the dining room are very good. There's a bit of a slope that you have to climb the stairs, but you have to admit that this gives you a good view. If you're worried about crowds, you can go back a little bit (10 minutes to the stairs to the business area, 15 minutes to the back). 2) Room: Very clean and the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is good. On the door on the side of the public space, there was an invisible glass on the outside. Wifi is strong enough. 3) Breakfast: That's what my wife and I loved best. The breakfast was very refreshing and delicious with the quality of the food prepared. Home made yoghurt, fruit shrimp that was cut and prepared with various fruits, not too salty pastry and custom made main dish were very delicious. Staff are very friendly and accept requests. 4) wine tasting: Two or three nights a week, at 5:30 a.m., you will have the opportunity to taste five local wines and enjoy a canapé made by your master's uncle. I think it's better to ask what you do on a Sunday when you check in. No complaints. As employees leave at 6:00, you need to check in yourself if you leave after that. We stayed for four days, but when we had dinner and wine tasting, we only had guests from Europe and the Americas, and we never met any Oriental people. I highly recommend this property for those looking to visit Queenstown. We will stay here once we visit Queenstown again.
