Have been wanting to visit Cardrona Hotel for a very long time and I wasn't disappointed! Visiting in early June, it wasn't overly busy which was perfect to relax. My friend and I who stayed here for two nights spent our downtown soaking in the hot-tub, having good conversations beside the outdoor fire in the courtyard. We had many great meals at the bar and restaurant, not to mention their delicious mulled wine! Would definitely return here for accomodation. Is super close to Arrowtown, Queenstown and Wānaka, but still away from all the bustle. Would've loved to stay longer to go for a ski, maybe next time! We also loved that the essence of the Hotel's old character had been retained in both the accomodation and the bar. It was like taking a little step back in time, but still had modernisation with the facilities as well! Thank you so much Cardrona Hotel, we'll be back! :))

Charming NZ country hotel and pub, picturesque and authentic. We love it. The atmosphere and sense of preserved history is palpable. Highly recommend hotel, bar and restaurant. Oh and also mulled wine in the garden hot tub post horse trek!
