Stayed in the “cottage” #4. Very dated and in need of a deep clean and refresh. The shower drain was stuck closed and had to be pried up to drain it and the drain was full of disgusting black mold and crud. Shower wall was degrading and brown. The hot tub was without extra towels. The breakfast is meh, although the woman making breakfast was very sweet, unlike the manager who checked us in and acted as if we were a burden for being there. Absolutely no parking. You have to park in the adjacent mall’s car park. Not close to the lake and no view. The pictures are not representative of the place at all.

I had booked a room at another establishment but when I arrived I was not happy, I found Te Wanaka right across the street and had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Bridget and Shane were accommodating and made me feel welcome. The room was well laid out, spacious and clean. They also serve a very good morning breakfast. I liked it so much that I rearranged my trip schedule to come back.

This is a difficult one to rate. If your a modern techead you would probably love it. I have had to really think about my review. The entrance codebox, I was familure with. It was also easy to enter our room, once we worked out which way to go. Room dirctions would be good for all guests. The TV was another level. Cromcasting was not possible from Australia according to our server. No local stations were avalible either. More tec assistance needed. I found the shower door too difficult to close. Car parking a nightmare. We opened our curtain to find several other guess, younger than us wondering around the building, trying to workout how to get in. We showed them the front door and left them to use their code and find there room. Maybe once the guess have there code, a sceed on how to enter building and use tv plus other keypads, it maybe more helpful. It's also a pitty there is no sign at the front drive to indicate that the units are down the battleaxe drive. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU
