Pacific Harbour Lodge

We booked a 2 bedroom villa and paid a lot for the extra room only to find that we had a living area with beds squeezed into it and one bedroom. This is a place that needs an update and a big tidy up. The gardens are damp and overgrown and the staircase up to the villa was hard to navigate safely because of a pile of vegetation at the base. A big disappointment.

Everything was very clean and the location was cool by the river. Reception service was a bit unfriendly and there was no water pressure in the shower (unfortunately there was no temperature control either) / no restaurant for breakfast, but there was a kettle in the room. OK for passing through

Couldn't check in early or even on time, facilities in room broken, rude and unhelpful staff who made unauthorized charges from our credit card. Ruined our few days on north island. Do yourself a favour and choose somewhere else to stay
