Kuaotunu Bay Lodge

This Kuaotunu Bay Lodge was the absolute highlight of our 3,5 weeks of travelling from the South to the North Island. Not only were the place absolutely stunning, also Kris and Matt were the same. We felt extremely welcomed and as we had met new friends. The evening was great looking at the view with the beach and the ocean. The breakfast in the morning just as great and we just didn´t want in to end! Thank You Kris and Matt. You put Kuaotouni and New Zeeland in our hearts! Most grateful!

In mid-January we unfortunately stayed only two nights at Kuaotunu Bay Lodge. Everything is right here: Great location, views over the bay, nice rooms, great breakfast, very warm hosts! We'll be back!

This place is simply exceptional. From the very first moment, the communication with the owner was flawless, warm, and incredibly professional. The level of care and attention to detail is truly outstanding — starting with a handwritten welcome letter, high-quality cosmetic products, and delicious food items, including a welcome minibar and homemade cookies. Everything was spotlessly clean, the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing, prepared with the best-quality ingredients. The beautifully maintained garden is a joy to relax in, and the views from the room, terrace, and even during breakfast are breathtaking. The beach is just 1–2 minutes away, easily accessible, very wide, with lovely sand and almost no tourists — a real hidden gem. Kris, the hostess, is absolutely wonderful: incredibly communicative, kind, and helpful in every possible way. She went above and beyond, especially when we faced an unexpected problem — a damaged tire the evening before our departure to the airport. Her support and care made all the difference. Honestly, this might just be the best B&B in the world. Thank you, Kris! 💙
