This is a top-notch stay in Wellington! It's walking distance to many of Wellington's main attractions, and the lift will even let you out right on Lambton Quay. The room was clean and the hotel has great amenities; the restaurant is wonderful!

With easy access to Lambton Quay in the Wellington CBD, the location was great. The rooms were clean and someone came by everyday to service the room if needed. We selected the "Green" service which was a general tidy rather than full clean. In exchange for the reduced service, we were given a $10 voucher/day to be used for food at the hotel's restaurant. It might have meant something if you could accumulate them but with only $10 off per meal on the massively overpriced food, we didn't bother to accept the vouchers. With no lamps or decoration whatsoever, the atmosphere in the room was stark. A simple cheap table lamp next to the bed would have made a big difference. The buffet breakfast was okay. The coffee that comes out the machine is instant. The person making the omelets didn't smile or respond to "Good morning" during any of the 6 breakfasts we had there. The rest of the staff were friendly though. Overall, the stay was fine but way overpriced for the standard received.
