The place was excellent, the staff they were really friendly ,the room was clean all the time

Location was ok, we were able to walk but not much around ( some shopping and good restaurants). The hotel is lovely as are the gardens and grounds but the grounds are in need of care (pool area very dirty with bird droppings). Rooms seemed fine but nothing in them (no tissues, coffee makers, fridge or microwave). Jacuzzi tub in room was broken and shower head was terrible (half holes were blocked) making it hard to rinse off. Wifi was terrible (room 15). We definitely overpaid for our stay and payed extra for Cappuccino and water at breakfast, although the breakfast was very, very good. Kitchen and service staff were top notch.The hotel ran functions all day( noisy) and night(not noisy) but all facilities like pool and outdoor areas were unusable but included and paid for in our room price. Had we have been informed of this on checking in we would have looked elsewhere. We tried to check out early but were informed no refunds would be given. We would not recommend this hotel if you are looking to relax on site. You will pay for it but unable to use it!

We, and another couple , stayed at Hotel Contempo for one night - December 8-9. It’s an older hotel, clean, but not what’s expected from the photos. The gardens were nice on the property. The pool was very dirty , the gym which is advertised had no AC, elliptical & stationary bike need replaced. Lighting in the hotel room is very difficult- there were no windows in our room so if you turned the lights off- it was pitch black!! We Couldn’t leave the bathroom light on in the night as there was a very noisy fan which could not be turned off. Beds were comfortable, AC in room was ok. We were given a ticket on arrival for a complimentary drink- lemonade , or soda. The breakfast was very good- seven choices were included for a complimentary breakfast. More choices were available to pay for. It was located in a good area. 10 minutes away was a huge Galleria mall- filled with upscale shops, beautifully decorated for Christmas , and many restaurants. We went to the Shanghai Chinese Bistro which had excellent food and a robot which serves some of the food. The hotel did serve dinner as well. Prices seemed a little high, but if you don’t want to leave the hotel it’s convenient. There’s a spa onsite but we didn’t go in to see it ,or for services. The staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful from check -in to check-out. It was a 30 minute drive to the airport.
