Westwood Hotel Ikoyi Lagos,Nigeria

It was terrible. I wanted to spend 10nights but paid for 2 nights so I can make a judgement before I balance the payment. On arrival, I knew there was a problem. There was no air conditioning in the reception as doors were opened and flies were dropping in. Lift was not working and I was ushered to the 4th floor. The room was choking and the toilet site was unbearable, very dirty, so i was moved to the 9th floor immediately. TV not connecting, Ac not working, bathroom leaking and the water was actually brown in colour. The wardrobe was not closing. Everything was absolutely helland staff started dodging after series of complaints. I went out immediately to get another hotel and I checked into Lilygate, Lekki the next day which was stunning. They claim it's under renovation but I see more of bankruptcy. Please stay away from this hotel. They never refunded my money!

Avoid this hotel. It's like a bad 2-star hotel. It's shoddy, smells rancid inside the rooms, nothing quite works and about half of the staff are really sullen, almost hostile. The toilet seat in my room wasn't screwed on so it fell off; flies came up through the sink; there was no cold water in the tap and the hot water tap was too (boiling) hot to touch; there was flooding on the stairs which made it incredibly dangerous; one of the lifts kept malfunctioning; the windows didn't close properly so mosquitos came in; my daughter was served a dish of pink, rubbery chicken (which is poisonous); they overcharged in the restaurant and argued with you when you pointed it out; whatever you ordered, they got it wrong; the television remote control didn't work; the safe was broken; they didn't replace towels; and they didn't replace coffee sachets. Two good things: clean sheets and good air conditioning. Avoid this hotel. It's the worst kind.

Hosted a 2 day event in their conference room. Space was good, responsive staff, but the food required some improvement and this was sorted by day 2. Their deserts are not impressive and female restroom doors don’t lock!!! Will likely use them again though if they get sorted.
