As always, this was a late booking for us (less than 24 hours before travel) so we do take pot luck.
First a word about Bergen. This is a delightful city with great views over the sea to one side, and tree covered hills on the other. The people are friendly and it is wonderful just wondering around. See my other reviews, but overall great for the soul.
I have been in Norway 4 or 5 times now, and the hotels are always similar. The rooms are cozy, with strange soft beds, and unusual duvet covers (basically you get 2 single duvets rather than a double). Space was at a premium, but with the exception of a room safe, we had everything we needed for a week long stay.
The hotel is about 25 minutes on foot outside of the centre, and is really in a residential area. With the exception of a local supermarket, there are not many facilities to hand. We enjoyed our walks each day, although there is a bus stop close at hand. On the plus side, it was very quiet.
Breakfast was good each day, with standard Nordic fare, and enough space. Other quests were a mix of holiday makers and workers from other parts of Norway.
Overall, a good choice of hotel for a few laid back days in Bergen.
If you are staying for a short period, you might prefer one closer to town.

I have stayed in afew Best Western's and by far, this was the smallest room I have ever stayed in.
There was no storage and the smallest twin beds I have ever seen, it was a good job my friend and i get on well with each other, as it was like we were sharing a small double bed.
It was cleaned everyday, bathroom was nice with underfloor heating, but this room would not be ideal if you were staying for a longer trip.
Had a lovely view of the car park and flats opposite!
Breakfast was fab though and very helpful and friendly staff.
Also, be aware that this hotel is at least a mile or more from Bergen centre, you can walk it in about 45 mins, or catch a bus, which stops just up the road, but this will cost you a 50 kroner each way, which is about fiver each time!!

This hotel is clean and does a great breakfast. It is about a mile or so outside the town so expect to spend £5 per person per way every time you need to catch the bus to go to town. It sure adds up!
The rooms really are tiny. We had a twin room but two single beds were pushed together and up against the wall. No wardrobe or drawers just a desk. Bathroom was nice with underfloor heating. The beds were comfortable so all in all it wasn't a bad experience. Little things like tea facilities in room let it down. I had to get tea bags and milk from reception each evening as room was not re stocked.
