Thon Hotel Sandven

Fantastic location and very nice clean 2 bedroom apartment. Excellent dinner. Unfortunately very loud building works directly outside our room starting at 0700 with drilling and banging. No warning of this at check in and despite promises from staff that this would be stopped it didn’t. If you are going to book here make sure to check the status of the building works.

Old dining room with old traditions, nice. Breakfast was excellent with special good taste on different items.

Hotel consisting of a beautiful historic part, with a frankly ugly first extension and a second one that is just dreadful. Everything was under construction during our stay. It was very hot in the rooms and the children could not sleep because of the uncomfortable and too small sofa bed. The staff seems to have nothing to do and is bored all day, but no one reacted to our requests. The Pub, on the other hand, is nice and the staff (Argentinian servers) is very friendly and attentive. The dishes and desserts were really very good.
