Quality Hotel Strand

I spent 4 nights in 2 different rooms. Breakfast and gym-room was the only upside to this quite poorly run ‘hotel’. It appears more of a cinema/conference building that happen to have guest room as well - in a relatively cold, sterile and not so welcoming environment. Male receptionist was even harder to understand, coming across equally disengaged in his expressions, response or actions, and seemed unwilling or incapable to help or clarify basic inquiries. Fortunately other staff was far more attentive, appreciative and welcoming. Both rooms had some major lacks and inconsistencies such as: missed room-turnover/housecleaning, lack of coffee capsules or tea bags, broken or missing fridge/coolobox, lack of amenities such as body lotion/soap, too hot or too cold rooms without controllers. The curtains in the newest building are not black-outs letting in sunlight from 03:00 in summer season. Several common areas of the hotel are visibly dirty including pillows, floors and surfaces. The remote control went missing in the tv-lounge, used bottles/glasses left by the lifts, and lastly - you will need more than a few moments to try to read directions (anywhere) from the lobby. Enjoy your stay, if you must.

Very nice to meet you at Quality Hotel Strand Gjøvik! Already on arrival we are greeted by friendly, professional and skilled staff who ensure a very good start to your stay. The room we got really deserves a shout. The cleanliness was very good, the room felt properly clean and welcoming, and it is clear that this is a hotel that takes both quality and guest experience seriously. The service throughout the stay was also superb. What you have gotten here is a hotel offer that is not only well conducted, but that delivers quality all the way – from the first meeting in the reception to the room and the rest of the facilities. You put the list for quality and customer service high, just the way we like it. The spa was also superb and the visit there really put the dot over in on our stay. A delicious break and definitely something we recommend to get with when you first are here. If you’re headed for Oslo or traveling through the area, this hotel is definitely a good place to visit. Because we travel a lot, and Quality Hotel Strand is a hotel we more than like to choose again. We will be sure to return several times.

Spa not working for our hole visit! Strawberry web page had no info off spa not working.. Kontakt the hotell before booking if you want to use the spa facilities is my advise.
