Cosy hotel, with an ok room. The cleanliness could be better as there were large spindle tissue in the roof of the room, and spots on the floor both on the room floor and the bathroom floor. The gym was very close to our room, nobody could hear well in the bathroom when you ran on the treadmill. The room was missing and a hairdryer and soap in the shower. Me had ordered the suite, so me expected a little more than this. Kakematen thinks my family was very good. But there was no gluten-free alternative. So I had to watch your others eat cake. The dinner included in the price was stunning. Hosted at Home Hotel in Kongsberg earlier, and was very disappointed by the poor selection of food there was compared to there. It could host noko alternative children's menu to the children at dinner.

Wow,wow,wow!!! I have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years, and this is by far the best experience I've ever had! From being in touch with the reception prior to my stay and until leaving, it was all so nice! I arrived before normal check-in time, so I left my bag and went out for a 2 hour stroll around the city. Coming from a 4 hour bus drive prior to that AND being extremely sweaty due to the weather, one might think I'd be upset that my room wasn't ready at 3 p.m, but no. The staff was just the sweetest, genuine staff + I was on a much needed vacation. So I had decided to just enjoy my time there no matter what. They did offer to give me another room towards the back that was ready, but as I knew I had a front room I decided to wait. While I waited I was kindly offered a soda as well. A smile and a soda can get you far :) The lobby and dining room was so nice! My room was also beautiful! I wish it had more window, though, but I presume it has to do with noise etc. I stayed for 3 nights, and the service was great all the time! Breakfast, OMG, that bread the first day!!! Sadly I only saw that particular bread that day, but far from a crisis! They made up for it by having mushrooms the last day :) And the eggs! Such delicious eggs!!! And the dinner!! SO good!! One might think I'm paid to write this, but no, I mean every word!! The fact that I was woken up around 6 a.m a couple of nights from working trucks outside would normally bother me A LOT! But here, no. Cause I wanted to stay in front, on the busy harbour. During the world cup as well. So if you are hoping to sleep the whole night, stay in the back. If you want to enjoy life, stay in the front. Last, but not least, be aware of the dangerously good bed!!!! It's almost impossible to get out of it! It will hold you as a hostage, but you will like it. Next time I go to Stavanger, this is the only hotel I will stay at.
