Comfort Hotel Stavanger

Hotel with a very good quality-price ratio. Close to the most important tourist sites. The reception staff were friendly and attentive. The room was comfortable. And the breakfast was the best part of all. I would repeat it.

The agency chose this hotel for after the ascent to the nearby Preikestolen, but unfortunately did not include a visit to Stavanger. You are welcomed by the typically Norwegian barception (reception with a bar). Room 469 is very dark, although well decorated with large posters. Instead of a wardrobe, it has a coat rack that is hidden by the sliding glass door of the bathroom, with a paper bag for clothes you do not wish to recycle or resell. The TV has 21 channels, with the last one being Sky News. A foldable rack hangs behind the door to place the suitcase. The bathroom has a rotary switch with a dimmer to adjust the lighting intensity. The towels are far from the shower, and there is no towel rack for the hand towel. There is also no towel for the feet, and the area around the sink gets wet. The shower has two showerheads: one large fixed and one small that can be handheld. The faucet slips with soapy hands, and it quickly switches from one showerhead to the other: it is very difficult to turn on. The mirror has enough light for what is customary, and the central mirror slides to see the bed. The breakfast restaurant is very small, and you have to find a spot, walk around, or end up at a high table. Variety of products, except for plums, nuts, and mint. Another day I will try the acacia honey. The small toaster is insufficient and hardly toasts.

Clean and nice hotel. Good breakfast. The only thing that attracts is that it was horribly hot in the room at night. Trying to turn down temperature, close windows etc but still very hot. Otherwise a pleasant stay and generally good service. Thank you for us.
