Budget Hotel Kristiansand

They hotel is right next to train station which is easy to approach for traveler. They place and the room is just basic, simple and small space. The room we got was clean enough, it is a bit noisy during day time with traffic. Not so bad after 11pm. Wifi is moderately good. It really is meant for people who needs to travel under budget.

Only if you want a cheap bed for the night. Clean and central, but thats about it. Near the railwaystation and the main road into the city centre, but rather well isolated. But I would stay there again if I only needed a bed for the night and nothing more.

Don't judge this 'hotel' by your usual standards. It's a basic, budget, hostel-like place but ideal to spend a night or two in if you're on a budget and don't want to pay standard Norwegian prices. It's located right by the railway station and ferry terminal and is right next to the city centre, so its location is very convenient. However, it is also right next to a busy flyover and a filling station. The 'hotel' consists of what in the UK are known as 'Portakabins'. It looks exactly like the temporary office units that are located on constructions sites. However, once inside, it offers good, basic accommodation, with all rooms having their own en suite facilities. This is absolutely not somewhere for travellers who are looking for comfort, style and exclusivity, but if you don't mind the basic accommodation and the 'interesting' fellow residents, this is a good, affordable place to stay.
