the room assigned to us directly faces the elevator where a telephone is also strategically placed. the ringing was quite annoying.
we have twin beds, alright, for my colleague and me. it's just that the corner of her bed almost always touches the swinging door leaving no legroom for us when we either go out or come in. the cable TV needed a clearer reception.
this hotel is blessed with a spacious lobby. wifi is strong but signal is fluctuating. the buffet breakfast that comes with the room tariff is generously displayed. i love the piano being played in the background while we take our dinner.
toiletries are insufficient and the bathroom itself never cools down even after use. one can sweat a lot when you stay longer inside.
by the way, the pool at the 4/F has a spectacular view of the harbour.

Room is clean and the linens are good. Room size though is a bit small, design is dated and there was no view by the window because it is obstructed by the ACU outdoor unit. Road is also very noisy during day time and the walls are not thick to be soundproof. You can hear people at the hallway. Carpet looks dirty and the floor uneven. Food is average and would have helped if they highlight local food. Pianist adds class but repertoire is meeeh. The staff is a mix of warm and snobs. Location is near the mall. If you are here for the tours, better spend your money on the experience and stay elsewhere.

I am sharing this review after an extremely underwhelming stay at this hotel in Bohol. Despite advertising itself as a four-star property, the overall quality felt more like a two-star experience.
At check-in, the reception team was unprepared and gave incorrect information. We were two adults in one room, yet were only issued one room key, and when I requested an additional card, I was informed I needed to pay for it — something I have never encountered in any hotel claiming to be four-star.
The room was small and outdated. The AC unit was too large for the room and positioned directly beside the bed, making it uncomfortably cold and difficult to adjust. Amenities were cheap — from slippers to bathroom products — and noise from the next room could be heard clearly throughout the night. Areas of the property show rust, wear, and lack of maintenance.
Breakfast was a major disappointment, offering only two to three dishes, none with notable taste. Even the coffee, served from a simple jug, was unpleasant. Atmosphere, the nightclub/lounge inside the hotel, was completely empty during our visit — no guests, no vibe, no energy. The private room we used felt abandoned, and the lack of concept, music, or bar activity made the space feel lifeless. No innovation, no buzz, no modern hospitality feel.
For $75–$100 per night, this property does not deliver value. With the same rate, you can easily find a better hotel in Cebu or Manila — or even a more comfortable pension house within Tagbilaran. Staff members were kind, but politeness cannot compensate for missing service standards, weak facilities, and the overall guest experience.
This hotel markets itself as four-star, but the reality says otherwise. I do not recommend staying here, and if you have other options in Tagbilaran, take them. Do not be misled by the star rating and advertisements — the experience does not match the price you pay.
