We are extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled. We booked a stay from 16th–18th February and on 31st January the hotel contacted us to say they had double-booked and needed to cancel our reservation. We did not cancel — the hotel cancelled because of their own overbooking error. We were perfectly happy to stay there. It has now been over a month and we still have not received our refund. To be clear, the staff members we have spoken to have been polite and seem genuinely lovely. However, being friendly does not resolve the issue. We are still out of pocket due to a mistake that was entirely the hotel’s responsibility. We have spent hours contacting Booking.com and Expedia, sending emails, and chasing updates, only to be passed back and forth with everyone saying it is someone else’s problem. The hotel continues to say that Expedia handles the payment transfer, but from our perspective that should not matter. The hotel cancelled our stay due to their overbooking, so it should be their responsibility to ensure we are refunded promptly — regardless of which third party processes the payment. We did nothing wrong and did not choose to cancel. Yet we are the ones left without our money for over a month. This has caused unnecessary stress and financial inconvenience, and it is incredibly frustrating that no one is taking ownership of resolving it properly. Based on this experience, we would not feel confident booking here again.

My daughter and I had a diving baptism today, the setting is very nice at Vanilla Dive Resort, instructors Yann and Jojo were very professional and very friendly. A very secure unique experience that we recommend.
