One Tagaytay Place

Great, clean and neat room, affordable and friendly staff,

We booked a stay (May 24-25, 2026) expecting a comfortable getaway, but instead, we were greeted by terrible maintenance, severe grime, an active pest infestation, and safety hazards.The hotel is severely outdated and clearly lacks any form of basic upkeep or pest control. Here is a breakdown of the gross and hazardous conditions we encountered during our stay, also I attached the photos for your reference. 1. Active Pest Infestation (Cockroaches Everywhere) *The Elevator & Hallways: We encountered cockroaches roaming around the public spaces, including inside the elevator and along the hallways. Finding a cockroach in the elevator is a clear sign that the entire building has a deep, unaddressed infestation. *Bathroom Pests: The roaches aren't just in the common areas, they’ve made their way into the room's bathroom as well, making the entire living space feel contaminated. 2.Foul-Smelling Storage *The Smelly Cabinet: It emits a strong, foul, musty odor, making it completely unusable. There is no way you can put your clean clothes or bags inside it without them absorbing the stench. 3. Filthy Bathroom (Major Health Hazard) *The Showerhead: The face of the handheld showerhead is completely caked in black mold, mildew, and mineral buildup. It is absolutely revolting to think that the water you use to clean yourself is passing through that layer of filth. *Wall and Grout Mold:The tile grout lines in the shower area are turning black with deep-seated mold. The textured wall tiles themselves feel slimy and are starting to harbor dark mold spots. *Toilet Base: The area around the base of the toilet bowl and the surrounding floor tiles are covered in a layer of grime, dirt buildup, and water stains that haven't been scrubbed in months. 4.Dangerous / Security Fixtures *Shattered Mirror & Exposed Sharp Edges:This is a massive safety hazard. The bottom edge of the bathroom mirror is completely shattered and broken off. To make matters worse, rather than replacing it, they left the sharp, jagged glass completely exposed right above the sink area—a recipe for a severe cut. *Loose Hardware: *The door strike plate on the wooden door frame is literally falling apart. The wood is splintered, and one of the screws is completely backed out (NAKAKASTRESS ITO SUPER!!!! AYAW TUMIGIL KAKABEEP YUNG DOOR LOCK) I attached the videos here. 5. Poor Maintenance & Filthy Amenities *Rotting Lampshade: The lampshade in the room is literally deteriorating. The inner plastic lining is brittle, peeling, and completely cracked, leaving gaping holes inside. Touching it leaves a dusty, flaky residue on your fingers. *Grimy Fire Sprinkler: Even looking up at the ceiling provides no relief. The fire sprinkler head and its metallic ring are covered in a thick layer of rust, dust, and what looks like black mold or soot. Verdict: 2/10 From mold and broken glass to musty, rotting cabinets and cockroaches in the elevators, this place is a health and safety nightmare. It feels less like a hotel and the management needs to address these concerns.

Not recommended for RCI members. Rooms too small for 1 bedroom RCI member. No considerations to move to 1 bedroom even vacant rooms are available. you need to talk to the big boses of One tagaytay place hotel as per advise of the reception.
