EGI Resort and Hotel

For more than 10 years I have visit this hotel multiple times a year without problem but this time bc I cut myself during shaving there were two very small stains on the pillow case and they charged me 500php for it for a case that probably cost 100 php and could have been cleaned with a little detergent. I think this is not normal and very unfriendly to your customers

Location: The location is fantastic! It's within walking distance of McDonald's, a pharmacy, laundry services, various restaurants and cafes, and Savemore. The area sees plenty of foot traffic and is well-served by public utility vehicles. Plus, it's conveniently close to the airport, just a 15-20 minute drive away. Price: Very affordable and offers great value for money. I stayed here with my son, and it was perfect for the two of us without breaking the bank. Breakfast: I was pleasantly surprised by their breakfast. It included fruits, vegetables, juice, and coffee, all presented nicely with good service. I didn't expect such a spread, and it was a delightful start to our mornings. Pool: The pool is big, which is great, but be cautious as the surface is extremely slippery. While watching my son, I had a bit of a scare because the slippery surface made it difficult to move quickly. It's important to keep a close eye on kids to ensure they stay safe. Beach: We didn't really use the beach. While it looked clean, it was covered with leftover sediments from the changing tides, which wasn't very appealing. Hotel Condition: The hotel is well-maintained but outdated. The room felt a bit gloomy with old furniture, a dated TV, and an old air conditioner. The brown-painted table and chairs gave it a bit of an elementary school vibe. If you don't mind the dated decor, I recommend this place. It's one of the most affordable accommodations in a prime location.

The first impression is the room looks old and dated. No art on the walls or attempt at looking modern. The furniture is old but admittedly good quality wood. Just outdated. The bathroom has a bathtub which is good just not enough hot water to enjoy a good soak. The ceiling fan doesn't work because the chain is broken and no one has bothered to fix it. The beds are good and the sheets clean. The TV is a limited service but was adequate. You are given one cup of coffee (3 in 1) per person and 250 ml of water which is quite miserly. I was charged 120 pesos for a small bucket of ice which sells for 25 pesos for 4 times as much at 7-11 . The pool was pleasant. The beach is only accessable at high tide. Staff was polite. I feel the price is too high compared to what is available elsewhere on Lapu-lapu. .
