Sarrosa International Hotel and Residential Suites

I was disappointed with my check-in experience. Despite noting in my booking that we were celebrating our anniversary and requesting a room with a nice view and one large bed, we were given a room with two beds. Upon arrival, we were told that only rooms with two beds were available, and the front desk staff insisted that I hadn’t requested a large bed despite the clear context of our anniversary celebration. I understand there was a large group staying at the hotel, but as paying guests we expected the same level of attention and courtesy. Even if changes weren’t possible, a simple acknowledgment or effort to explain the situation would have made a difference. Unfortunately, that basic hospitality was lacking. What was especially frustrating was the dismissive tone of the response. Rather than showing understanding or making any effort to accommodate us, we were simply told, “You didn’t request it,” without even a basic apology. Given the occasion, it should have been common sense—or at least met with empathy and professionalism. This stay fell short of the service standards I expect from a hotel of your caliber, and it left a negative impression during what should have been a special and memorable experience.

To anyone travelling to Cebu in the Philippines do not use Sarrosa hotel for accommodation. We had paid for and booked a room for two adults and two children. when we arrived we found that there was only one double bed in the bedroom that was supposed to hold the four of us. The room we booked and paid for was supposed to be a Superior room. if this is what they call SUPEROR I would hate to see what a standard room was like. We complained to the manager and he said that it was what we ordered and that if we wanted to we could upgrade to another rom for a cost of 500pesos per night. Even after we showed him we asked for the superior room. We asked how the hell were four people supposed to sleep in one double bed together. We finally got upgraded, to what was supposed to be a SUPERIOR room that had one queen size and one 3/4 size bed. The Internet was so slow it was pitiful, the bathroom had a bath tub but the plug was broken the handles kept falling off the taps and when flushed, the toilet screamed at us. The breakfast was disguising as it was served in containers that had been there since the year DOT, and cold. No heat under them to keep warm. Dinner at night was no better. I ordered fish and chips and receive six miniscule pieces of fish that would fit on a tablespoon with ease. They then had the hide to charge a fee of 245 pesos for that. The next night I ordered the same and it came out with even smaller pieces of fish and and only three pieces, with potato chips instead of what they call French fries. Still the same price. Naturally I complained and they said that was normal, I protested and said the previous night I got what I ordered. They came up with some lame excuse that was how they served it. I was still charged the same price as before. Fancy paying 245 pesos for some little small pieces of fish with potato chips go to the Sarrosa International Hotel and Residential Suites. I would not recommend this hotel to any body at all. The view out the windows was overlooking some deserted property and was also on a busy street that was so loud. As we had already paid for the entire six days of our stay we had no choice but to stay there as they did not do refunds. Never again will we use that hotel

The hotel was very clean. Walking distance de Ayala Mall. Courteous, respectful but slow welcome (Check-In one hour) Keep it tight. Efficient room staff available and courteous. Nice room, well equipped but without window Old bathroom. Friendly swimming pool
